We are thrilled to join forces with Less is Sound / Proto Sites to bring you a special site-specific gathering dedicated to experimental sound, listening, and ecological attention.
In a secret forest location in Vienna, we will explore the intersections of human and more-than-human worlds through context-sensitive concerts, participatory sound performances, and collective listening practices.
The forest is not a backdrop, but an active collaborator: rustling leaves, birdsong, insects, wind, and distant urban sounds become part of a shared acoustic ecology.
How can we respect the natural soundscape while creating with it as an equal artistic voice?
The gathering centers on deep listening as a pathway to interspecies sensitivity. In times of ecological and social crisis, listening can become both an artistic and political practice—one that challenges anthropocentric perspectives and encourages new forms of attention, care, and coexistence.
Rather than imposing sound onto a place, we seek to attune ourselves to the inherent music of the forest: subtle sonic relationships that often remain unnoticed beneath the noise of the city and the dominance of visual culture.

Less is Sound / Proto Sites is a Bratislava-based platform for experimental music, sound art, and site-responsive artistic practices.
Sonic Territories is a Vienna-based festival and platform dedicated to experimental sound, audiovisual, and transdisciplinary art, fostering encounters between artistic practices, communities, and environments.
